Hello,
Welcome to the Consort Collections. As a consort (or apprentice consort) you are tasked with becoming the sort of person we would be proud to call a coordinator. A large portion of this task involves learning. Science, culture, history, politics, you will need to be well read on each to give the sort of nuanced perspectives that are expected from a coordinator. To facilitate this we have created various collections that cover a broad topic from many different perspectives and mediums. Additionally within that topic there will be various series, each series is created by an individual coordinator to cover the topic how they see fit. Some topics will have multiple series, others may only have a single series.
When looking at a series there will be two parts, the documents, and the assignment. The documents will be a collection of documents spanning various different mediums. A document may be included in various different series, and collections. When reading a document there will often be a section at the bottom called “Curators notes”, these will include comments from various coordinators about the document and how it relates to the series they are covering. It is recommended to read the curators notes relevant to your current consort assignment, however you can branch out and read all of them if you want more analysis to pull from.
The assignment portion will include several different scenarios developed from real-world influences. These scenarios will then present you with a limited selection of possible “solutions”. These solutions are not exhaustive, however they are used to illustrate a point that the series author believes is important. You may find yourself disagreeing with these positions, and I would recommend you note these disagreements down, then as an eventual coordinator you will be able to publish a series that explores the counter-narrative.
Your first collection will likely be your own choice to make, feel free to browse the listings below. After that please reach out to your assigned coordinator for their own assigned consort collections for you to complete. Remember that you will be using the knowledge and skills you gain in completing these collections to help real people, so do take it seriously.
Good luck,
Al’mara
